Description: Heartwood ranges from a light tan to pink with a reddish tinge. Grain is straight with a coarse texture. Rays are smaller than White Oak.

Working Properties: Moderate blunting effect on cutters. Gluing properties vary and pre-drilling is advised when nailing. Takes stain well and polishes to a good finish.
